Embrio is a concept application we've started with Doktoreas without a clear idea where this will end.
The target was a web application to access the power of GRASS and maybe all other cool FOSS for GIS.
All our effort have been voluntary and it's easy to find some bugs.
Try to have a look at the cool part.
Octuber 2006. First try, brutality:
GRASS v.buffer command with no map navigation.
December 2006. Second try, concept:
GRASS r.los command inside a ka-Map winMan interface (we know it doesn't work with Internet Explorer).
March 2007. Third try, first satisfaction:
Embrio as you're going to see for a while.
This last try shows a lower toolbar with some GRASS functions. You can play with them, navigating, using all functions and then playing with layer opacity and layer order using the legend.
Still many functions are lacking, but it's time for fun.
Feedback is welcome but, please, don't ask for support because we have just the time to code.
We'll go on adding GRASS modules and fixing bugs. Stay tuned.
ciao
Lorenzo
